The first thing you’ll see when you walk into Austin’s is a delectable selection of fresh fruits and veggies. It’s easy to get what you need and get out quickly here, so you don’t need to stockpile weeks of produce.
Wine & Liquor
Austin’s may be a small store, but we have a huge selection of quality liquors and fine wines. We’ll even help you pick out that perfect wine pairing. Make us your one-stop shop for adult beverages.
The experts at Uncle Mike’s Bakery and Breadsmith in Green Bay and Don’s Bakery in Luxemburg bring you the freshness & consistency that years of experience brings. We couldn’t make it this good ourselves.
We sell meats that are consistently graded higher than what other grocery stores in town carry. USDA Choice black angus, fresh meats ground in store, and the freshest, leanest chops and ribs in town.
A Little History
In 1953, Charles Austin decided to venture into the business world and with his wife, Gwen, opened the “original” Original Austin’s grocery store on the corner of 9th St. and Ridge Road in Green Bay. Not soon after, the road in front of our store was ripped up and widened to accommodate the new “City Stadium” home of the Packers.
With no previous experience in the grocery business, “Chuck”, never-the-less recognized what customers will come back for in any retail store: Cleanliness & Friendliness. This simple concept continues today. Chuck’s sons Bob, Rick, and Steve Austin along with seven of the grandchildren show the care and hands on approach that only a family owned business can deliver.
